On Sunday 8/9/2013, the LCCC had organised a pilgrimage to Walsingham. We gathered at Chinatown at 8 am. The coach arrived early and was full of our members. Among them, we had 2 visitors from Macau, 6,000 miles away, to join us. They are Fr. Jojo Ancheril, CMF from St. Lawrence Church, Macau, and Sunny Kuan from Serra Club of Macau. During the journey, we prayed the rosary and sang hymns. We arrived at Walsingham early this year.
The weather was kind to us — sunny, and not a drop of rain had fallen until the end of the day for our return journey. We must thank our Lady of Walsingham. The ground was jam-packed with pilgrims of all nationals, singing hymns and celebrating Mass. After Mass, most of us shared food we brought.
At 3:15pm we joined the procession to walk the Holy mile and finally converged in front of the original Walsingham site. We then had Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction followed by prayers to Our Lady of Walsingham. The programme finished after 5pm. The rain just started on our return journey to London. Everybody was filled with joy and with the Holy Spirit.
